About Us

SARI Therapeutic Riding is a non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to helping children and young adults with special needs grow physically and socially through specialized horseback riding lessons.

SARI was founded in 1978 by Syd and Jeanne Greenberg in memory of their daughter, Sari. Over the years since then, understanding of and demand for therapeutic riding has grown. Today, SARI serves more than 100 children and young adults.

But SARI only exists because of the generosity of the community. The ongoing costs of providing lessons - instructor training, maintenance of the facility, care of the horses and staff salaries - are completely covered by donations. To continue to operate, SARI also requires about 200 volunteers. Please get involved and help change a life.
