Riding Programs - How to Apply

If you wish to enroll in SARI Therapeutic Riding’s programs, please complete the following six steps.

  1.  Contact SARI to request an application package
  2. Receive and complete the application package containing:
    • Welcome letter
    • Application
    • Emergency information form
    • Release of liability form
    • Package for the physician including a Physician’s Referral form.
  3. Complete and mail the application package to SARI.
  4. SARI will add you to our waiting list.
    5. Normally, riders are chosen from the waiting list in order of first-come-first-served. But sometimes, if we have a spot open in a specific class, we may choose someone on the waiting list with similar needs to those already in the class ahead of the person next on the list.
  5. SARI will contact you to arrange for an assessment. The assessment is free and takes about an hour, including a trial ride on a horse. It provides us with the information we need to assign the rider a spot in a class, an appropriate horse and tack (riding equipment).
  6. We’ll let you know your class time and work with you to set goals for the upcoming session.
