Adaptive Riding

Our adaptive riding lessons teach riding skills to people with physical, cognitive, or emotional challenges, using specially trained horses and adaptive equipment as needed.

Private, semi-private and group lessons run once a week for the term of each seasonal session in the fall, winter and spring.

About Adaptive Riding

Adaptive horseback riding is a recreational activity that teaches riding skills to people with physical, cognitive, or emotional challenges, using specially trained horses and adaptive equipment as needed.

Our adaptive riding lessons are led by certified instructors and focus on skill development and enjoyment. This approach promotes confidence, balance, and coordination through horsemanship in a supportive environment. This program is reserved for participants with a disability.

Hayden's Story

“We are extremely lucky to have found SARI. It is perfect for Hayden and her strength gains have given us hope that she will sit unassisted one day. SARI brings joy to Hayden’s life and to any of our family or friends that have seen Hayden ride as you can see how happy she is every time she mounts up. This wouldn’t be possible without the entire SARI team, the amazing volunteers, and the generous donors.”

– Heather, Hayden’s mom
