Our Horses

SARI horses are the backbone of our program. Each horse is carefully selected and trained to ensure they take careful steps under our participants with special needs.

Antoinette

Adopted by Susan Carrothers

Antoinette (Toni to her friends) is a big girl with an even bigger heart. She joined us in 2026, generously paid for by 100+ Women Who Care London & Area. Her sweet and calm demeanour make her an excellent therapy horse, and she’s taken to working at SARI like a duck to water!

Annie

Annie joined SARI in 2025. Annie’s sweet temperament and love for people have made her a quick favourite amongst staff, volunteers, and participants. She has also very quickly made friends in SARI’s other herd members, and can often be found playing with Gemini in our paddocks!

Doc

Doc has served SARI since 2012. His kind nature and boyish charm allow him to connect with everyone, making him a beloved presence and valued herd member.

Echo

Echo is one of our newest herd members, having joined us late in 2025. She comes to us having already proven herself as a lesson horse, and is an exceptionally sweet lady. She can’t wait to be friends with everyone (you included!)

Evan joined SARI’s herd in 2023. A brave, kind, and intelligent boy, he excels in all aspects of his role, including hippotherapy, where his versatility makes him ideal for riders who need extra support. His resilience and ability to handle a lot make him a valuable asset to our team.

Gemini

Kevin

Kevin joined us in 2025, and is SARI’s own ‘Barbie dream horse’. With his impeccable ground manners and forward movement under saddle, he has been a wonderful addition to the team. Kevin loves his job and enjoys the work that he does at SARI.

Major

Major has been with SARI since 2024. His “puppy dog” personality makes him a favourite, and his smooth gait aids in muscle relaxation, core strengthening, and rider comfort.

Noah

Noah is a gentle giant who joined our herd in 2025. Known for his sweet nature and puppy dog personality, he is a reliable partner with a love for people and connections. He has very quickly become a favourite amongst staff and volunteers.

Rocky

Rocky has been with SARI since 2023. Trustworthy and reliable, he excels at teaching riders to work off lead. His gentle nature makes him ideal for both beginners and experienced riders, helping them build confidence and skill.

Rowan

Rowan joined the SARI herd in 2024 thanks to a donation from Ironstone Impact. Rowan is gentle and sweet, and his calm demeanor makes him a comforting partner for our riders. Rowan’s ability to connect with participants highlights his special role at SARI, bringing confidence and joy to everyone he meets.

Roxy

Roxy joined us August 2026. She is a very smart
girl and quickly passed her trial with flying colours. Roxy has integrated very well into our herd and can usually be found grazing beside her best friend Gemini. We know that she will thrive in our program as she loves having a job. Roxy looks forward to meeting you all!

Salli

Salli has been serving SARI since 2022. Fantastic with riders of all ages and skill levels, she makes everyone feel comfortable and confident. Salli has a talent for sensing when her riders need encouragement, often nuzzling them to show her support.

Samson joined SARI in 2024. He brings a sweet and calm presence to our therapeutic riding program. Samson’s kind, steady and patient demeanor makes him an ideal partner for riders of all abilities. He’s preparing to enter our hippotherapy program, where his calm disposition will help participants achieve their goals.

Simon

Simon joined SARI’s herd thanks to the generosity of our 2025 Artisan Auction attendees. He has already proven to be a very smart and curious boy! Simon has a big personality and loves people, and he’s sure to win you over with his charm and striking mustache!

Tex

Tex joined our herd in 2025. Already a barn favourite, Tex is proving to be a sweet boy who is absolutely beloved by the participants he supports. He is lively and eager, and has a sweet personality that everyone loves.

Whiskers

Whiskers is the youngest member of our herd, and he joined SARI in 2025. He is one of the most easy going herd members and takes everything in stride. Whiskers is known for his fun personality and love of work. He is a reliable mount for the program and will stand patiently while awaiting direction from his rider.

Tinker

Tinker has been serving SARI since 2011. Her sweet and gentle nature forms the foundation of our grooming program and camp experiences. She is also very used to being used as one of the “faces” of SARI alongside Belle, but often demands treats for the privilege!

Belle

Belle has been serving SARI since 2011. Her sweet and gentle nature forms the foundation of our grooming program and provides entertainment for anyone who meets her! Belle is a patient little lady, whose gentle nature is perfect for our younger participants in our grooming program.

Support a Horse's Care

SARI’s Adopt-a-Pony program gives corporations, groups and individuals the opportunity to cover the costs of care for one horse for a year. Your generosity is celebrated with a sign on your selected horse’s stall, recognition on the annual donor list, and a meet-and-greet opportunity with the horse.
