Summer Camp Director (temporary, full-time)

Summer Camp Director

Temporary, full-time

SARI is seeking applicants to the position of Camp Director with a passion for leadership and to create a memorable summer camp experience for children of all abilities aged 6 to 18 years.

The Camp Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of an inclusive day camp, ensuring safety of the campers and creation of inclusive programming for kids of all abilities.

The Camp Director will plan and implement daily camp activities for groups of 12 children, including horseback riding, games, crafts, sing-alongs, booking guest speakers and other fun camp activities.

The Camp Director will track camper registration and progress, communicate with guardians, plan transitions between activities, manage a small budget, and directly supervise and promote team cohesion among Camp Counsellors (staff) and volunteers.

Hours: 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri, 8:30am to 4:30pm

Work Location: SARI Therapeutic Riding, 12659 Medway Road, Arva, ON N0M 1C0

Eligibility:

  • Open to youth aged 15-30 (age range in alignment with funding opportunities)
  • First Aid and CPR certification is required before camp program begins
  • Experience working with children with special needs is required
  • Experience with horses is an asset
  • Police & vulnerable sector check required

Start Date: Monday, June 15th, 2026

End Date: Friday, August 28th, 2026

Summer Camp Counsellor

SARI is seeking applicants to the position(s) of Camp Counsellor with a passion to create a memorable summer camp experience for children of all abilities aged 6 to 18 years.

The Camp Counsellor(s) will assist the Camp Director with planning and implementing daily camp activities for groups of 12 children, including horseback riding, games, crafts, sing-alongs and other fun camp activities. 

The Camp Counsellor(s) will work cooperatively with volunteers and respond to the physical and emotional needs of the campers.

Successful applications will demonstrate a positive attitude, long-lasting energy, creativity, flexibility, and a strong desire to work as part of a team.

Hours: 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri, 8:30am to 4:30pm
