Summer Camp

This is an image of Summer Camp Page.

After careful consideration we will not be offering Summer Camp in 2021.

This will allow us to continue implementing strict COVID-19 protocols while (hopefully) opening our entire schedule to our therapeutic riding program; we know our regularly scheduled participants and volunteers are missing their lessons so much during this second lockdown! We appreciate your support and understanding as we remain focused on our mission and maximizing opportunities when we are permitted to re-open.

An integrated farm discovery summer camp offered weekly for children 6-18 with and without special needs.

Sessions: Weekly day camps, nine weeks in July and August.

This exciting program offers a fun filled week of riding lessons, crafts, games, songs, guest speakers and theme days during the sunny summer months.  Horsemanship lessons are a favourite as participants learn to care for their horse by feeding, grooming and even bathing the horses!  Open to participants aged 6 to 18, Camp SARI is an integrated environment for children with and without special needs.

How to Apply:

1. Download and complete the application package: “Program Application & Physician's Referral”.

2. Download and review specific program information, and select your dates: "Summer Camp Information 2020".

3. Only applicants with diagnosed special needs are required to submit a physician’s referral and attend an assessment at SARI.  The assessment process is facilitated by a Staff Instructor and Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist.  This provides SARI Instructors with the information needed to assign the applicant the appropriate mount, equipment, support level and goals to work toward in their lessons. Assessments are free of charge for our integrated day-camp programs.

4. Submit payment for entire session to the SARI office.
