Therapeutic Riding

Designed to meet each rider’s physical, social, communication and independence goals.

Session: Once a week / session (fall, winter, spring)

The therapeutic riding lessons are specialized to meet each rider’s physical, social, communication and independence goals.  Private, semi-private and group lessons run once a week for the term of each session.

How to Apply:  

1. Download and complete this application package : Program Application & Physician's Referral”.

2. Submit application package to the SARI office.  Once received, the applicant is added to the program waitlist.

    ● When possible, applicants are chosen from the waitlist on a first come-first-serve basis. 

3. Attend an assessment with a Staff Instructor and Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist at SARI.

    ● This process costs $85 and will take up to 60 minutes.

    ● The assessment process provides SARI the information needed to assign the rider the appropriate mount, equipment, support level and achievable goals for the lessons.

4. Submit payment for entire session to the SARI office.
